Krampus is a mythical creature. In various regions of the world – especially in Austria and Hungary– it is believed that Krampus accompanies St. Nicholas during the Christmas season.
The word Krampus originates from the Old High German word for claw (Krampen).
What is KRAMPUS doing?
He is warning and punishing bad children, in contrast to St. Nicholas, who gives gifts to good children!
He looks like the devil!
Traditionally, young men dress up as the Krampus in the first two weeks of December.
Particularly on the evening of 5.th, 6th December they roam the streets frightening children and women!
They use rusty chains, bells and - birch rods - for punishment!
In alpine areas there are similar scary figures like the Krampus - the Schiachperchten.
They do not accompany St Nicholas!
These characters scare people in processions during Dec. 24th and Jan 6th.
We will keep you informed about this scary day!!!
. . . so you saw the story of the first flight . . .
. . . you know: Tily & Steini had a crash with their aeroplane, because Steini did not fill the tank.
. . . they opened the pumpkin with an old knife and hollowed it out. Some shelves of an old wooden fence were taken for the accomotation (bed, table, chair, rack . . . ).
. . . and so Mario, Emre & Thomas rebuilt the house and the furniture!!! We had great fun and Tily started to sing: "Lets spend a night together, now I need you more than ever . . . !" So they spent the weekend in their second Pumpkinhouse.
Stormy weather in Steinabrückl! The famous Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart loses his whig when going for a walk along the river Piesting in Steinabrückl.
Exhausted he enters our school and asks the pupils of the 1st class, if by chance they saw it anywhere. Fortunately Katrin's cat found it in the tree in front of our school!
Mozart is very happy, now he is properly dressed again!

We congratulated our '29TH OCTOBER REPUBLIC DAY' last friday. Our dear students prepared some activities like poems and dramas as you see in the pictures. This day is too important for Turkish people because this day ,Republic has been established by our hero, 'ATATURK' and most of things like life style has changed after that.
Old and young Chesnut women visited our school to tell us about their work: go to the forest to look for chesnuts, bake them and sale them to Catalan people.
It's a hard work, specially for the old woman; because it's cold.
We also celebrate Halloween. We learn many scaring words...
