This school year is already over, summer is here and let's enjoy the well-deserved holidays!

We kindly remind you that our blog will be open, so it would be fantastic if we all keep it running a bit forward by uploading and showing little pieces of any interesting activity, project, festival, school trip...
We've been building up a nice blog during these two years of our project, pretty much to look at!

We chose to work GAUDÍ because he was a wonderful artist; we also though we could work about him with our pupils; so we have worked hard with our children and we have produced a great variety of art works. Working on different techniques (drawing, painting, building models, watercolour, collage, modelling with clay,...) in each levels (from P3 to 6th level) we are proud of our young school artists!

One more school year has finished!
At school we celebrate it in different styles, depending to the age of the children.
Infant school and 1st cycle enjoyed themselves in a WATER PARTY with different water games, and ending in a very refreshing way.

2nd and 3rd cycles celebrated a SPORT GIMKANA.

6th level children are leaving the school, so they deserve an special day:
There is a FLOUR BATTLE, where 5th level children attack 6th level children with a mixture of flour and water.
Then, 6th level children are graduated receiving a Diploma and a farewell T-shirt.

This day was presented to all children in the world by Ataturk. And a lot of festivals are done all around the Turkey on that day. And children enjoys and celebrates with songs,poems,dance shows, role plays...etc.Shortly whatever they want they do as owners of that day.
As you see in the photos,our pupils enjoyed too much,too. It was really good.No lesson,no class,no homework,no mark,no duty... only entertainment...!They worked and did a lot exercises for that day.They were really tied but it worthed it.

This is a modern dance show from our 7th grade students under the leadership of our physical education teacher. Firstly they wore those scared masks,but fortuanetly took off them after a while. They had worked for this dance for months and they were very nice.

This is a kind of traditional dance belongs to Black sea Region called 'Kolbastı'. You can really enjoy and also get crazy while you are dancing it. If you are sad or under stress, open this music ,dance and get crazy how you want. You are free:)))

This is our schools chorus. They entertained us too much.

She is our 7th grade pupil,Nergis. She likes english very much so she sang an english song called 'Perhaps' that day. She has a great voice.

And she also a great voice and sang an english song from 'Kesha- we r who we r',too.and she entertained us and pupils to much.

He,Mahmut, also has a great voice ,but he wanted to make a difference for his friends and he wore a traditional costume and said his song. Pupils really liked his appearence and voice.Normally he hasn't got a moustache, he is just 6th grade students:)))

And chorus with violin. She is learning to play the violin, and she is really good at it. She prepared a surprise for us that day and played the violin. She made us excited,it was excellent...

Dances Festival went on with the impressive 6th level children dancing Ball de bastons(Sticks dance)!!
This traditional Catalan dance has its origins in the Middle Age, when soldiers and warriors invented it to keep fit, to practise during the peaceful periods.
Originally only men were taking part in this dance, but from the sixties (60’) women are actively participating and having a relevant role in this dance nowadays.

After this great festival of dances from each level, now time to dance altogether.
We invited our guests to take part dancing in the last dances: Ball del rogle (Circle dance) and Sardana; typical Catalan dances where everybody is welcomed to dance.

On a hot and sunny afternoon, children from 3rd to 6th level danced happily for Comenius partners visitors.
Tipical dances and some surprises.
3rd level danced “Contradansa” called like this because of the steps, done and to the opposite: in/out and forward/backward.
4th level performed "La Bolangera”, from Tarragona. This traditional dance was very popular because it was usually performed as an “opening dance” in every festival.
5th level danced “Ribbons' dance” time ago part from rituals made to the trees in April and May. This dance praised to the Deities for a good fruits’ harvest.
So the ribbons were originially used to decorate the tree and dance around, but the tree was replaced for a pole/long stick holded by a dancer, who keeps standing it up during the dance.
And... a surprise for our guests at the end of "Ribbons' dance"

5th level pupils enjoyed a lot the Comenius workshops with our partner teachers!!
There were 5 groups of children that worked about 15-20 minutes in each workshop.
* Italy proposed two Art and Craft activities: a peg with a pig and a flowered basket.
* Austria brought the Owl game (Mozart's favourite game) to play.
* Belgium prepared an Art and Craft activity painting with Chinese ink on vegetal paper.
* Turkey brought Hacivat, Karagöz and Tily puppets to paint.
* Spain prepared the Gaudí game.

Now you can see some photographs that show just a little sample of a great afternoon ... Not everyday you have the chance to meet, talk, work and play with teachers from four European countries working together at our school.
It was a short but intense experience!

There we met our Major, Pilar Diaz; and our Education Councilman, Juan Fernandez; who congratulated everybody for working on Comenius project.

We left the Infant school classes and came back to Primary building to visit Primary classes.
We started dancing in the Music class.
Our pupils and teachers were happy to meet partner teachers from our Comenius project.
Intense feelings our children receiving letters from their penpals brought by our visitors!
Always interesting to know foreign people; Comenius partners "in person"
Nice greetings, short conversations, astonished looks, laughs and smiles everywhere walking along all the school.
And breakfast to recover forces to go on.

Our Comenius Project is finishing now! You can't believe it! Everything started here more than two years ago... and now; Final meeting in Folch i Torres school.
Our school was dressed up for the occasion: Tilys, welcomes in each language, flags from each country gave the welcome to our partners.
We all met in the school's hall on a sunny May Wednesday morning.
Kisses, welcomes and greetings and we started visiting the Infant school.
The Infant school always so charming and nice decorated. Little children received our guests happy and emotioned, a bit overwhelmed for so many foreign people visiting their classes.

Sant Jordi (Saint George's) day

In Catalunya Sant Jordi is a very important day.
It can be considered the Love Day, because men give their beloved women a rose as a proof of love. This tradition is based on the Legend of Sant George.
Moreover, it's the Books' day. So everybody buys books as gifts.
Sant Jordi is not a holiday, but it looks like it!
Everywhere in the streets you can find stalls selling books and roses and lots of people choosing books to buy.
Also at school we set our own stall in Infant school playground. During all Sant Jordi's day children from 6th level recomend and sell books and roses to children that visit the stall, as well as to their parents that also come.

We live intensely Sant Jordi festivity at school.
During Sant Jordi's previous days, there's a big books exhibition at school library. All classes visit it and our librarians show and tell them nice stories from brand new books.

The dragon comes to the school!!
Leaving footprints, and other smelly traces... everywhere.
It appears on the school's roof trying to frighten us.
The princess and Saint George also come to the school.
On Sant Jordi's day there is the books and roses stall in the Infant school playground.
On the afternoon, there are the "Jocs Florals" (poems and narrative contest) and dances exhibitions in the Primary school playground.

After Sant Jordi day there is a comic play where Saint George comes to rescue the princess and to fight and kill the dragon; however the play every year is different, and not always the dragon is killed...

A healthy day

On Friday, May 6 organized by the school as part of our year health project a healthy day.
First we got a rice cake with a milk drink.
Then we followed three workshops in small groups:
* singing
* drawing
* gymastics
* learning about food and healhy
* help prepare for brunch
At noon all children feasted on the delicious brunch.
In the afternoon there was a movement game .
In small groups we played games with the teachers.
At half past three we also enjoyed a delicious fruit salad.
The sun was shining and we had a fantastic day.

A gift for mom with tiles.

Completely in the context of our Comenius project and Tily the children made a flower pot for mom.
At first the pots were painted.
Then each went to work with some mosaic tiles and tile adhesive. In a nice pattern stones were glued to the jar. That was not such an easy task.
Then we put a layer of veneer on the pots.
On Thursday we planted a beautiful plant and we could take the gift for mom home.

A HARD COMPETITION!

There was a knowledge contest in our school recently and it made students excited too much. Every class between 6th grade studied too much and tried to be winner of the contest. And the picture you saw at the left side is second winner of this contest and of course they took their nice presents (T-shirts)

This class is the WINNER. They were announced as the best 6th grade in our school for this education year.As you see,they are very happy and of course they took their presents:)))

Their happiness was worth to see.!!!

To celebrate the Comenius Week Pupils from 6th grade will perform us a “ball de bastons”, that’s it, a kind of “stick dance”.

This traditional Catalan dance has its origins in the Middle Age, when soldiers and warriors invented it to keep fit, to practise during the peaceful periods. In other words, it was a way of training, and it works really simple: two rows, two different dresses with different colours to distinguish “who’s the enemy” and the fights. We have to say they use the sticks, and not swords, to avoid injuries during this singular “training dance”.

Originally only men were taking part in this dance, but from the sixties (60’) women are actively participating and having a relevant role in the “ball de bastons” nowadays. Enjoy it!!

On friday 29 april 2011 the children from Claudia and Sabrina went to Blankenberge.
Their they visited an art nouveau house and went on a art nouveau tour in the city.
Tily and Tilette were very enthousiastic to see the bench inspired by Gauldi at Parc Guell. Their were a lot of tiles in the museum in the art nouveau style made by Horta.

On friday 8 april 2011 the children went to the forest near the school to find their easter eggs.
Each child and teacher made easter eggs in paper.
The easter bunny has hiden them in the forest.
All the children and teachers had lots of fun looking in the trees and plants.
When they arrived at school the easter bunny gave the children their chocolate eggs.

From 2nd to 9th May 2011, schools are invited to celebrate European school collaboration through Comenius week activities. Comenius National Agencies, eTwinning National Support Services will also participate.

This school year 2010-11, our Comenius Project “Diving into different European Cultures” that has been focused on developing communication skills, giving our pupils an insight into their culture and those of other, wants to join and to take park in the Comenius Week 2011. In this project we have shared our local customs and traditions among five different European countries (Belgium, Austria, Turkey, Italy and Spain).

To celebrate the Comenius Week, and following our Project’s aims, our students , in Spain (coordinator school), will performance a typical dance in “Cataluña”. It will be post in the blog next week.

Diving Into Different Cultures - Austria visits our Turkish Partners

A small Austrian team - Beate Hittinger and Martin Frischauf - both with their partners - took the topic of our project seriously and visited their partners in Sanliurfa during the Easter Holidays.

And that visit was a real highlight of the project!

Knowing Turkey from various visits we were aware, that this part of Turkey would be a very special one.

Far away from the touristic summer clubs along the Mediterrenian coast, Sanliurfa offered not only fascinating history but also friendly and open minded people!

It is hard to to present this intensive visit in only y few pictures, but we will try!

Easter is here!
As we told you, "La Mona" is a cake given by the godfather to his godchildren in Catalunya.
At school, it's also typical that each class from P3 to 4th level prepares a "Mona" Each year are different, but plenty of imagination and good ideas related to what they are working on. Here you are what they have prepared this year:

Easter Traditions in Austria - Ratches

Going with RATCHETS is an old tradition in the HOLY WEEK.
It is an oral tradition, that the church bells fly from Holy Thursday till Easter Sunday to ROME, Italy. So the bells don´t ring....

The children walk with their noisy ratches through the villages. This noise should remind the people of the Holy Service (usually the church bells do) and the suffering of Jesus Christ.

Starting Holy Thursday evening the Ratching ends on Saturday.
Sunday the church bells are back and ring again!

Girls were allowed to take part in this procession only some years ago...

The children collect money and sweets from the houses they visit.

But they have to recite a little saying:

Wir ratschen, wir ratschen den englischen Gruß, den jeder katholische Christ beten muss...

What is important for Easter????

COLOURED EGGS!!!

The pupils of the 1st class were very creative.

First of all they had to blow out the eggs:

Easter Traditions in Austria - Searching Easter Nests

Searching Easter Nests is a nice tradition in Austria.

Parents, grandparents hide little nests with colored Easter eggs and sweets
somewhere in flats or out in nature for their little children.

But in a way it seems, that these traditions become nowadays more and more unknown to our children.

Therefore we try to save these nice habits by practising them in school.

Here are some impressions:

This year Easter is very late with green grass and nice temperatures.
But we remember also Easter with snow when whe had to hide nests outside...

Easter in Belgium

Although Easter is a Christian festival, it has a pagan origin.
The Germans worshiped in the spring Ostara, the goddess of spring and fertility. The Germans sacrificed eggs in her honor. Several of the Germanic customs were incorporated into the Christian faith. Thus the farmers gave their best eggs to the priest, as Easter offerings, which were sometimes colored eggs in order to know which were the oldest eggs

An older egg tradition dates back to China. In the seventh century BC The Chinese already eat colored eggs. During the celebration of their spring festival, they made no fire for three days. They wanted to make the Sun the chance to thaw nature.

Besides all the stories about ancient spring festivals and symbolic traditions, there is an explanation for the fact that we do at Easter, in spring, many eat eggs. During the dark winter months, the place is almost completely silent. Broke to spring, then suddenly there were plenty of eggs.

The oldest painted egg, which we know was found in a grave near Worms, Germany. This egg would come from the fourth century BC.

An earlier tradition of the Easter tree to a pole, four cross laths which were hung colored eggs. eggs that had a symbolic significance: they represent new life. Now in the weeks before Easter ornamental branches of willow or hazel sold, which colored eggs hang

Actually, the Easter bells ordinary clocks that hung in the churches. On Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter, the bells have wings (like those of angels) and the bells go to Rome, to go pick up Easter eggs. Beware of Easter, they return their stock of eggs and throwing them (in the clock are stored during the journey) over Flanders. Between Palm Sunday and Easter, the churches do not read clocks, that is because they are all traveling to Rome. Easter clocks are very difficult to see because they are mostly at night flying, and very fast.

Easter “Mones” in Catalonia

Easter rituals include children hunting the chocolate trail of the Easter Bunny and in Catalunya, godparents giving godchildren their traditional “Mona de Pasqua”.

Beginners in Catalan would be right in thinking that this festive treat can literally be translated as “Easter Monkey”; however, the word “mona” actually exists in both Latin and Arabic, where it means gift or present. Dating back to the 15th century, this culinary delight originally took the form of a “tortell de brioix” (round brioche cake) and was inspired by the days of fasting preceding Easter Sunday.

The traditional shape of these cakes was large and circular, similar to that of a sizeable doughnut and it would often contain hardboiled eggs around edge. Nowadays hardboiled eggs have been replace with chocolate ones and a “Mona de Pasqua” can come in all manner of shapes and sizes.

Movie stars, footballers, cartoon characters and your very own personalised mona are now all readily available upon request. Although the baking of a cake has gradually been replaced by a chocolate sculpture, there are still aspects of this annual indulgence that have not changed.

It has always been the custom for a godparent to give a Mona de Pasqua to their godchild on Easter Sunday and this remains the same today. “La mona de Pasqua is a spiritual tradition unique to Catalunya. Each egg represents a year of life but they also embody the idea of birth, which is why they are given on Easter Sunday, the day Christ rose from the dead.”

Easter Monday in Catalunya is therefore commonly referred to as “el dia de la Mona” and in the past represented the day when families would go together to healthily eat and drink. Nowadays, the incredible designs and wonderfully edible sculptures make mones too good to eat. Easter and feasting just seem to go hand in hand, so whether you’re having a traditional circular cake or a modern, life-size chocolate figure of Messi: happy eating and happy Easter.

Hey kids, we want to show you how to bake an Easter Cake!

But Tily, this time you have to be carful not to disappear in the dough!

OK, this time I will be very cautious, I promise!

To prepare the dough you need

milk
butter
flour
yeast
eggs
salt

You mix the ingredients and let the dough rest for some minutes!

Then you split the dough into four parts.

Now you cou can start to braid the cake.

Bake it at 180° for 40 minutes!

Steini told me, that the Easter Rabbit has his nest high up in the trees.

There he lays the colored Easter Eggs fort he children. He gives them to the boys and girls!“

Carnival in Bruges

Carnival

On the 4 of march 2011 we celebrated carnival.
All the children and teachers were dressed up.
We held a procession in the streets of Bruges.
The people enjoyed this very much.
When we arrived back in school everyone received pancakes.
It was a very nice day.

After Carnival... Lent

Lent (Quaresma) has started.
But we don't celebrate it much.
Just a little in Infant school,
and in a very funny way.
The Lent is represented by
an old woman who has 7 legs
(1 for each week from Carnival to Easter)
Each Friday they cut out her a leg singing a song.

Farewell to King Carnival

Today we have come back from Winter holidays.
This afternoon, we ended the Carnival celebrations saying Goodbye to King Carnival.
Despite the rain, Infant school children and Primary 1st cycle children met in the covered playground wearing masks or maked up faces.
They were waiting for King Carnival; but The Witch (representing Lent) appeared.
She urged everybody to go back to the classrooms and start working again, instead of going on with fun and celebrations as during Carnival days days.
Children said aloud: Fora bruixa!! (Go out witch!!)
King Carnival arrived; children happily shouted: Hurray King Carnival!!
They fought, The Witch won King Carnival and sent him back to the Moon...

Hello friends, we´re back again!!! We will guide you through the world of Mozart, show you the way he danced...;-) and the way he lived as a young boy - without playstation....

And it looks very nice to dance with this equipment!

And here you can se a nice presentation about Mozart, combined with music of FALCO, a famous Austrian popstar, who unfortunately died too early... It is really worth watching !!!

We don´t celebrate carnival like the Spanish collegues with their pupils do, but this year we met Wolferl Mozart.
And as a young boy Wolferl also liked to play - but without electronic medias!

He liked to play the "OWL GAME"

It is a very old game going back many centuries!

You need: 3 dices - counters - and the board you play on.

Everybody gets the same numbers of counters
Half of them are placed in the middle of the board
Somebody starts to toss the dices
You have to find the combination of the dices on the board
In very Old German you can read what you have to do: give three - take five - take all, if you have 3 x six on your dices (you win, of course...)
Winner is, who collected most of the counters, too.

And we played the game and we liked it very much!

CARNIVAL 2011!!!!!

This is the most special Festivity in our school.
Everybody takes part in it: children, parents, lunch monitors team and teachers.
It implies a lot of work, we take care of every single detail; but, we look forward it and enjoy the Festivity together.
Every year it is dedicated to a different theme.
This year we decided to join both Comenius Project topics, so it is about GAUDÍ.

Yesterday it was raining, we were afraid we couldn't celebrate the Carnival Festivity... but; luckily, the sun appeared today!
The school and the playground have changed, also disguised: the columns and benches covered with varied brittles.
From the start of the morning everybody was dressing up.

6th level children are the main characthers of the show, they are longing for this day. They are Bufons (King Carnival assistants) or Velles Quaresmes (Witches, they represent Lent, days after Carnival) They are maked up, dressed up, they put the stilts or the skates on, happily waiting to start the show.

5th level children were practising with their drums different rhythms to cheer up the show and the Carnival parade.

All the children in the school were dressing up with the help of some parents and their teachers.

We met in the playground about eleven in the morning.
The rhythms of the drummers started the Pasarel·la Gaudí (Gaudí show).
This year Tily, our Comenius Project mascot, opened the show; with 5 Bufons wavyng the flags of our countries. All the children received them singing the "Tily song".

Some tourists were looking for taxis to visit Gaudí's works, then appeared P5 children (taxis) dancing around the monuments they made. Then, brittles (P3 children) danced on the red carpet. After, stained windows (P4 children) filled with colour and rhythm the parade.

Benches or snakes from Park Güell (1st level children) twisted on the red carped.
As the colours from Batlló house flooded everywhere while the public was clapping enthusiastically.

3rd level children have built Sagrada Familia temple, moving everybody. After, the sun medallions from Park Güell (4th level children) radiated with rhythm along the red carpet.

After the parade, where are the designers of this art works? Gaudinian teachers, happily danced, greeted and laughed through the red carpet. Then, came the lunch monitors team; dressed as la Pedrera chimneys' and finally the stage was filled with tourists (mothers and fathers) very similar to those who visit Barcelona.

Finally, the Bufons appeared!! Colour and happiness everywhere... But then, the Witches came: darkness and sadness all over. The leaders of each group start a dialectic battle: the Witches say that we are loosing time doing nonsenses, and order us to go back to classrooms. The Bufons cheer us up to have fun. People shouts: Witches out!! When King Carnival appears smartly dressed jumping on his stilts and waving his big red flag everybody cries: Hurray!!!
He is very funny, makes us laugh and encourages all to participate in the parade through the town streets. So, everybody goes walking and dancing happily.

It has been fastastic!! Intense feelings as every year.

Today is "Dijous gras"

Thursday before Carnival day is "Dijous Gras" or "Dijous Llarder" and is typical to eat Egg sausage (specially made for Carnival days only) or Omelette.

People used to go out to parks to eat omelettes or egg sausages.
Nowadays, children wearing their costumes go to parks to eat their sandwiches.

Today we have been very unlucky because it has been raining and we couldn't go outside; however, we ate our delicious sandwiches at the school.

Other years we had gone to the park to eat and enjoy a nice morning (Infant school children) or a wonderful afternoon (Primary children) out eating delicious omelette or egg sausage sanwidches' and playing.

King Carnival 3rd order

Every afternoon King Carnival Emissaires' are delighted with our children.

The order for Thursday was... come dressed with colourful clothes as Gaudí's Art works.

Enjoy them:

Today it's raining, so we had to stay at school instead of going out to eat our omelette's sandwidches. However, the drummers from 5th level came to visit us.

And Friday's order is: Tomorrow is Friday and... It's Carnival day; so you have to bring your disguises, ready for a great show and strong to walk and dance on the parade through Esplugues streets!!

The GAUDI project is all arround our school!

Each classes delegates went to the school library to help Conxi reciting poems.
Afterwards, she went upstairs with the camera to take some photographs. She was delighted with the working atmosphere in the classes and through the corridors!
Everywhere she could find children preparing their costumes.
We have decided to join both Comenius project topics, so this year our Carnival Festival is about... Gaudí.
On one side there were children from 1st cycle Primary concentrated imitating the brittle (trencadís) from Park Güell, next to them some were "painting" with plasticine copying the colours of Batlló House while others were also decorating letters also with plasticine.
They was a lot of activity but they were working quietly.
Also, there were 2nd cycle children working on their Sagrada Familia costumes.

On the other side of the corridor, there were 3rd cycle children hunging their art works about Gaudí. The exhibition is unfinished because their project is in progress. However, a girl from 6th level tells us (in catalan) about their work.

Carnival is coming!!!

Every year the children make posters announcing the Carnival Festival.
This year 1st cycle Primary pupils did them. They enjoy and laugh a lot while doing them:
We spent a few sessions working with PaintShopPro computer programme; first in pairs, mixing colours preparing the background of each poster.
Then, they add a tittle CARNIVAL decorated with many gadgets (sprays, stamps,...)
After, they wrote a message encouraging everybody to come to enjoy our Carnival Festival.
Later, they add and transform their photographs: changing the colour or hair style of their hair, adding a moustache, glasses or ... whatever they like! To do this they use the website: Fantastic face. Don't dare to try it, and is not necessary to register to use it!
Finally, they print and hang the posters all over the school buildings (both Infant school and Primary buildings): through the corridors, in the classes, in the canteen, and also outside the school!

Carnival Festivity rehearsal

Carnival Festivity is the most important Festivity in our school.
Children from all levels become actors on Carnival Festivity.
Each year they prepare their costumes and a choreography to show their costumes to the large number of public who comes to see them.
As actors they prepare their actuations rehearsing the days before.
One day all the children in the school join in the playground to a dress rehearsal.

King Carnival 2nd order

On Tuesday afternoon King Carnival Emissaires' were astonished with our children faces!
They congratulated them and gave the next order:

On Wednesday they have to bring Gaudinian complements.
They have come with very nice complements: necklaces, hairbands, T-shirts, hats, ... all of them with Art works related to Gaudí.
Look! It's incredible what our families prepare in one afternoon!!

King Carnival 1st order

From Monday to Friday is the Carnival week.
Our children are very excited, because they love Carnival Festivity!!
Every afternoon, King Carnival Emissaires' come to the school to tell us what is King Carnival ordering us to do for the next day.

On Monday they ordered us to come with our face maked up with brittle (trencadís) on Tuesday.

P5 Artists building Gaudinian Art Works

P5 Infant school children decided to dress up as BCN TAXI'S but they wanted to drive around Gaudi's Art Works.
They worked hard together to built their own Monuments with recyced material.
Lots of discussions, drawings, designs, inventions, ... Art work in in progress, Art work in pure state! Everything ended up with three wonderful buildings: free versions of La Sagrada Família and El Capricho, and a Mixed Building.
Seeing the results, maybe they'll become wellknown architects... or art artists!

Preparing Carnival Festivity

We are working hard on Carnival Festivity.
The drummers are practising, the children from 6th level are training to walk on stilts, children and teachers from different levels are preparing costumes and decorations.

Interactive exhibition Beautiful

On Friday, January 14 the children of Claudia and Sabrina went to the interactive exhibition "Beautiful" in Ostend. In the studio were/hung about thirty art works.
Using cards the children asked each other about beauty.
Then they get a ring with on it one object. They seek an artwork that fits with the ring. In turn the children tell us why they think that the ring belongs to a particular work. They have to use their imagination and can not make mistakes.
Thereafter they all go to their favourite artwork and on a card they write or draw a message to the artist.

There were also some artworks resembling the art of Delphine Boël.

Delphine Michèle Anne Marie Boël is a Belgian artist who specializes in papier maché sculpture. She is alleged to be the illegitimate daughter of Albert II of Belgium. Sometimes in the media Delphine is incorrectly titled as a Baroness, because of her mother's title, but she does not belong to the nobility, as she took the name of her stepfather, to whom her mother was married at the time, and not her mother's title.
Biography
Born on February 22, 1968, she is the daughter of Sybille, Baroness de Selys Longchamps, whose husband was Jacques Boël, scion of a family of industrialists. Delphine and her Irish-American partner, James O'Hare, have a daughter, Joséphine (born October 17, 2003), and a son, Oscar (born April 28, 2008).

Paternity allegations
On October 19, 1999, a Flemish biographer, Mario Danneels (Dutch), published his unauthorised biography of Queen Paola, Paola, van 'la dolce vita' tot koningin (Paola, from 'la dolce vita' to Queen). The book contained a statement referring to the existence of a daughter born out of wedlock to King Albert. The Belgian press seized upon this statement and made investigations into the identity of this daughter, tracing Delphine Boël. At first, both Delphine and her mother refused to comment on the matter, and the Palace dismissed Danneels' book as gossip and rumours.
The main element considered by the Belgian press as acknowledgment that Delphine is the King's daughter is a short extract from the King's 1999 Christmas speech:
This Christmas feast is also the occasion for each of us to think to one's own family, to one's happy periods but also to one's difficult moments. The Queen and I have remembered very happy periods but also the crisis that our couple have crossed more than 30 years ago. Together we could, very longtime ago already, surpass those difficulties and find back a deep understanding and love. This period have been recalled to us short ago. We don't wish to dwell ("nous apesantir" in French) on that subject which belongs to our private lives. But, if certain people who meet today similar problems could get some reasons to hope from our lived experience, we would be so happy.
The press interpret this to refer to the King's affair with Sybille de Sélys Longchamps.
Delphine gave an interview on May 15, 2005, to the France 3 presenter Marc-Olivier Fogiel (French) in the broadcast "On ne peut pas plaire à tout le monde" in which she claimed that she was indeed the daughter of the King. She said she made a telephone call to King Albert II in order to receive help for her mother who was being harassed by journalists. According to her statement, the King replied "Leave me alone with that story. You are not my daughter anymore." which she said was hurtful. She said she felt the absence of contact from him, especially since she is a mother herself. In the same interview, she alleged that when she and her mother moved to England when she was 9, the then Crown Prince Albert wished to divorce Princess Paola and join them. Her mother apparently opposed this because of the political consequences for prince Albert. Delphine added that her "parents" kept in touch by telephone for some years, but that this stopped some time before she was 16 (1984). She said her mother told her "the truth" about her parentage when she turned 18, in 1986.
Although King Albert does not acknowledge that he is her father, Delphine's paternity link with the King is often considered as fact by the press and by the Belgian people. She is sometimes compared with Mazarine Pingeot, the illegitimate daughter of former French President François Mitterrand, and nicknamed "the Mazarine of Belgium". She is in touch with her half-brother, Prince Laurent of Belgium, who unofficially acknowledges her as his sister.
There has been no formal proof of Delphine Boël's claim, as a paternity test has not been carried out.

Art: features

The sculptures by Delphine Boël referred quite openly to royal conditions: they often worked with crowns, thrones and the colors of the Belgian flag (like on the penis of a crowned frog). Her works have increased in value since they are sensitive because of the paternity issue has become famous. She has exhibited work including in Ixelles (2001), Koksijde (2004) and Sint-Martens-Latem (2008). In 2003 she participated in the Venice Biennale.
